A little backstory; I've lived in this neighborhood for most of my life and ever since I've been here and started paying attention to street signs, I have always gotten two roads mixed up with each other even though the spelling of the street names are nothing alike and you can't get to one directly from the other though they are relatively close to each other.
So, today, I had a guy ask me for directions to one of these roads and of course, I immediately got them mixed up and didn't realize it until 10 seconds after he drove away and it hit me; I just gave that guy the wrong directions! I've felt terrible ever since and probably will for a few days.
That guy is going to tell his friends and family about this idiot that gave him the wrong directions and I'm sure he will ponder on whether or not I did it on purpose.. ugh! lol
However, I have grown to love the occurrence of these embarrassing moments in life because I find it keeps me grounded and reminds me not to take life too seriously. We all make mistakes sometimes and it's probably better that way... unless you're the one that received the wrong directions, of course! (Sorry!) lol .. To me, being able to laugh at yourself when you do dumb shit is one of the keys to happiness. It happens to everyone, don't ever forget that! It helps.
