A description of myself....should one indulge in self-flattery or self-deprecation; which is most appreciated or effective! Is there a balance; self perception can be delusory, at best subjective!
Regardless, I am 184cm tall, grey hair tending toward bald, of average build though place an emphasis on physical fitness, posture and BMI, while mindful that at sixty years of age my capabilities are less than previous.
I am an outdoorsy type, embracing fishing, scuba-diving, kayaking, tramping (though less ambitious than previous), and similar activities.
My reading is almost exclusively of political/military history, though in the past I have been entertained by the likes of George Simenon, H H Kirst, and Bill Bryson. More recently I have acquired interest in psychology and body language, probably because being ignorant and contemptuous of these faculties in the past has not served me well. I am a 'hands-on' , DIY type of character, keen to acquire practical skills.
Regarding employment, I am no academic; rather, a factotum, finding work where-ever but always busy.
My desire is to find a wife or life-long partner, hopefully fall in love, but should such a momentous occasion still be some distance into the future people are welcome to visit and use my abode as a base if travelling to NZ.
