Consequences of Negative Thinking - by Cindy Hartman

by TenderlyYours, Jan/16/2019
Think positively! Think good thoughts! Be “The Little Engine That Could” and think you can! We hear people make these types of remarks on a continuing basis. Why? What does thinking positive thoughts have to do with anything? Why is it so important to rid yourself of negative thinking?

Your entire being is affected by your thoughts, which means every single component of your life is a result of your thoughts. However, there are three main segments of your life that are severely affected by negative thoughts – health, finances and relationships.

If you want the best, then you’ll want to rid yourself of negativity. Let’s consider the fact that if you have great health, your financial situation is good and getting better and you have great relationships with your family and friends, this will flow over into the other aspects of your life. Of course, the consequences of negative thinking about these three are poor health, trouble with finances and less than desirable relationships with your family and most likely few friends.

Hi!, Kate thanks for taking the time to comment on this blog post. A little salt and pepper once in a while makes the world go round. If you get my meaning. However we must try to keep on the path that produces the most good and that is not the path of negativity. :)

If you lack the courage to face reality, playing make believe can help. There's no doubt that for the vast majority of the rabble, lying to their selves is necessary for them to be okay with being. They are scared little girls, and they quote scared little girls, and they wouldn't know a path with heart if one were to write a note directly to them. I have come to realize it isn't their fault - nobody chooses to be born weak and stupid (even as our culture fosters weakness and stupidity). Yes, if you need to lie to yourself to face the day, positivity is the better direction of intent. And for the rest of us, well, reality is just fine the way it is. "All things rare for the rare."

Funny, it seems that my subject matter is being missed entirely. I wonder what I could do to make it more clear?

It's not being missed; it's an old cliche, at best getting parroted by sweet voiced silly birds, at worst being croaked out by old bog toads for whom it was recent news. When some thoughts are adjudicated as positive, others become negative. Thoughts are thoughts. Human beings make judgements as however they're disposed, as further thoughts. Thoughts of all sorts are simply part of the fabric of reality for the being of the human being (Dasein), occurring in unseen words within the first person existentially actual lived in moment of an actual human being ("language is the house of being"). We can accept reality, all of it, even the fact of our own death ("Dasein is each case mine") to occur at some definite (albeit undisclosed) point in the future. Or we can be scared little girls and lie to ourselves about whatever floats our boat (all religions and the entire cottage industry of self-help books know these facts well).
