Howdy folks! I grew up in the backwoods of South Carolina. I am an old-fashioned country boy, an outdoorsman, a farmer, a traveler, a writer (for nature magazines), a Carpenter, and a health coach. I write for Mother Earth News Magazine and Backwoodsman Magazine. I've studied natural building techniques for years, along with gardening, animal husbandry, botany, foraging, nutrition, psychology, and wilderness bushcraft. My attitude in life is essentially that of a Native American Indian (I'm essentially a primitive savage at heart, born in the wrong time) I have a deep love of Nature.
