Tired of being alone. Looking for Miss Right, but I never seem to find her. I figured that I might look online for her, and this is as good a place as any to start. Anyways, time to describe me here...lets see...

While I'm sometimes a bit cynical, I'm actually a hopeless romantic: I believe in happily ever after, even if I haven't found it for myself yet. I can be funny or serious as the situation requires (tho I tend more toward the sarcastic regardless. I blame 80s TV for this). I can be pretty shy sometimes, but can warm up to people fairly quickly (but I ask for a little patience with me on this point). Caring and attentive (or at least I try to be). I'm kinda nerdy sometimes (ok, a lot) but I can still do sports-like stuff without looking (too) awkward at it. I've been learning to cook, and have been told that I don't suck at it. I like animals of all persuasions, and they seem to like me (the fact that my room/bed is the critter hangout of choice tells me that).
I tend to be a bit of a homebody, but really want to get myself out more. I think I need my boundaries pushed a bit, if only to find out what my comfort zone really is.

Now, for the kind of person I'm looking for.... that's a bit harder to express (I think).

A woman that's kind, patient, fun, a little nerdy, confident. An infectious smile would be nice. Someone that wouldn't mind staying in on a Saturday night because a new episode of Doctor Who is on, and/or is comfortable with going to an event like Comicon (costume optional). I'd love to say that I'm not picky about looks, but I probably am (best to be honest about things like this).
