How can I tell if he's serious?

If a man tells you he wants a serious relationship, don't only listen to his words. Just watch his actions. Does he make time for you even when he is busy? Does he remember the things that matter to you? Does he respect your boundaries instead of trying to rush the relationship? An honest man usually wants to know who you are, your dreams, your family and your work. And what makes you laugh and what makes you worry. And if he is truly interested in meeting you, he talks about it openly, he discusses dates, travel plans and practical details. He understands that both of you should feel comfortable. A man who is sincere usually has nothing to hide. He isn't offended if you want to know more about his life. He is willing to make call and video chat. He doesn't disappear for days without explanation. Everyone deserves privacy. Not everyone wants to share every detail immediately but privacy is different from secrecy. If months go by and you still don't know his full name, what he really does for work or even whether he is single, don't ignore that feeling inside you. Sometimes we become so attached to the idea of a relationship that we stop asking the questions. Be careful of a man who falls in love with you before he knows you. If someone tells you after only a few days that you are the love of his life or the only woman he has ever truly loved, pause for a moment. Real feelings usually grow with time. Do you feel respected? Do you feel safe enough to ask questions without being made to feel guilty? These things tell you much more than beautiful words ever will.
