So, this is an old song (2000) and is one of the best metal songs I've ever heard. The lyrics are hard hitting and meaningful, but very raw which is why I love metal. This song comes from a place of deep pain and anguish which I can relate to maybe more now than when I was younger, but not really in the same ways. Since we're posting lyrics, I figured I would make it a doozy. This song played randomly in a large playlist while I was checking out the lyrical posts here, so I thought why not.
It's not directed at anyone, but it's a powerful song and it helped get me through a lot of shit back then. This song isn't for the faint of heart... and some censored words.

I appreciate that. I've always considered Mudvayne a band late entering an established genre, sort of pop metal at best, but that song's got an authentic clang when you hit it with a philosophical hammer. Methinks I'll give'm another chance....thanks Mike!
LD-50 was a great album. I don't know about their others.

So, I listened to "Space Cadet" .. nice, gentle tune. Great acoustic sound.
That's a cool song. One of my faves is "Demon Cleaner." Their record, "Welcome To Sky Valley" is pure stony sonic bliss. The main guy (I'm horrible with names (they take up too much space in my mellon's hard drive)) went on to found Queens of the Stone Age, which is why they probably sound familiar.
