Night's Love

I believe there is only once in your life that you truly find the perfect someone. The one that is perfectly right for you in every way. You will remember that person, for the rest of your life, no matter what. And when it is over they will live on in you, the good memories and the courage they gave you. I believe mine happened already, of course I would look for another. Lets face it who doesn't want the "L" word? Lol, but mine left me feeling a bit like this...

Sitting in grass so green, under the night sky,
Watching all the fireflies as they fly by.
Looking over my shoulder hoping that touch was you,
No...A leaf has fallen,
It was so wet from the night's dew.
Sigh...pondering on when i'll get to see you again,
My love...I adore you...You are my best friend.
With my hands upon my chin, and my elbows to the ground,
Lying here...Thinking of you...Wishing to here your sound.
Such a nice night, for thoughts such as these,
Won't you come to me...My love...Please...
There in the dark i see a shadow on the tree,
No...Not you...It was my own shadow of me.
I walked over and sat by the tree,
Not knowing what to do next...
Just waiting to see if you'd come to me.
I heard you say, My love I'm here!
I turned around surprised to see that you still were not there!

Frantically looking around, to find you still not there...
I don't understand...Where are you...My love...Where...!
You said I'm here in your heart as I've always been,
I'll never leave your side...
I may be quiet every now and then,
But this is where I'll stay, as I've always been...
Your love...That you adore...Your best friend...
