I'm pretty awesome, actually… smart, funny, kind, socially awkward, and only occasionally prone to violence.

I’m kind of hard to get to know, but I have been assured it’s worth the effort. It would be great to meet the love of my life, but I’d also love to make some gay friends (which is hella hard to do in Texas, right?).

I love my family, my friends, my job, and my dogs. (I am indifferent to my cat). I enjoy hanging out with friends, movies, theater, being outside (when it's not intolerably humid), and traveling.

You should know right up front that I am kind of a dork, but that’s really just part of my charm. I gave up trying to impress people a long time ago… hopefully, you did too. I used to be insufferably cynical, but I gave up on that, as well. (I still have a delightfully sarcastic sense of humor, though.) I’m a good-natured person who likes it when people get along. (Be nice or be gone.)

I would like to find someone who can make me laugh and make me try new things. I like reading and seeing plays, and then talking about them afterward, so someone with a brain is a plus. As much as I enjoy intellectual cinema, I also love bad, cheesy movies. (Ever heard of “The Room” or “Birdemic”? If so, we really need to talk.) I’ve lost 85 lbs. in the last year, and am working on the last fifty, so someone who likes to be active would be great. (Although, slacking on the couch can also be fun. Let us never underestimate that.)

You should have a brain, a heart, and a sense of humor. (You should NOT have a Grindr account.)
